StudyCBSE
A study planner for students following the CBSE curriculum in India, Classes 9 to 12.
It is free, runs in a browser, and can be installed to a phone's home screen.
The app itself needs JavaScript, so this page is a description
rather than the product.
What it does
- Turns a CBSE exam datesheet into a dated revision timetable, paced backwards from the first paper.
- Knows each student's class, stream and subjects — streams apply from Class 11 (Science PCM, Science PCB, Commerce, Humanities).
- Lists the chapters of each subject and links every one to the official NCERT textbook PDF on ncert.nic.in. It links to NCERT's copies and does not host them.
- Generates chapter notes, practice questions, and full papers of a chosen mark value — 20, 40 or 80 marks — and can produce several numbered tests on the same chapters.
- Provides past CBSE board papers and their marking schemes, linked from cbseacademic.nic.in.
- Sets a 15-minute test each Monday covering the chapters ticked off the week before.
- Tracks weak areas from marks on tests actually sat, rather than from self-assessment alone.
- Includes a focus timer, study reminders, and an export of study blocks to a phone calendar.
- Can email a parent a weekly summary — off by default, and only after that parent confirms their own address with a code emailed to them.
What it is not
It is not a notes library, a question bank site, or a video course, and it does not
replace a textbook or a teacher. Material it generates is study help that should be
checked against both. Classes 6 to 8 are not covered. StudyCBSE is an independent
project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to CBSE or
NCERT.
Privacy
Its users are minors, so a parent's address receives nothing until someone at that
address types back a six-digit code, individual marks are not shared unless the student
switches that on, and every message sent to a parent is readable by the student in the
app. See the privacy policy.
